Some recent posts reminded me of the Aggrovators, so I took a look around the Internet and found an insane reggae video collection from RootsLove, including this classic:

With over a dozen albums released in the 9170s and 80s, The Aggrovators were one of the main dub reggae session backing bands of producer Bunny 'Striker' Lee. They appeared on many albums with King Tubby and Tommy McCook, including Tubby's Shalom Dub, and worked with artists including Jackie Mittoo, Sly and Robbie, and Aston Barrett. Band members included, at various times, Carlton 'Santa' Davis, Carlton Barrett, Robbie Shakespeare, Aston 'Family man' Barrett, Lloyd Parks, Earl 'Chinna' Smith, Tony Chin, Winston 'Bo Beep' Bowen, Ansel Collins, Bernard ' touter' Harvey, Winston Wright, Bobby Ellis, Vin Gordon, and Lennox Brown. These were Bunny Lee's hand-picked group who could quickly produce high-quality tracks, which allowed Bunny Lee to produce albums while renting expensive studio time from other production companies.

The group's name was derived from Lee's awareness of reggae's growing popularity in England, particularly amongst skinheads: 'agro' is a skinhead term for fighting and generally getting in trouble. His original reggae label was called Agro Sounds and he carried on the term when he named his group The Aggrovators.
